Self-referral detection
Supaffi flags sales where an affiliate looks like the buyer.
An affiliate who buys through their own link earns a commission on their own purchase. Supaffi checks every referred sale for this and flags the ones that look like it. A flagged commission is never paid until you decide.
What gets flagged
Supaffi checks the first sale of a referral and every renewal after it.
The commission is created as Flagged instead of Pending. The affiliate sees it as Pending.
- The overview shows a red card, for example 2 commissions look like self referrals, with Confirm or dismiss each one.
- The Commissions item in the sidebar counts flagged commissions, and the Flagged tab lists them.
The card check needs your Stripe key to read Payment Methods and Customers. Without them, it is skipped and only the email check runs.
Review a flag
Click the commission to open it. The evidence comes first: for an email match, the buyer's and the affiliate's addresses one under the other.

Confirm a self-referral
The confirm button is on every commission, not only flagged ones, so you can act on a self-referral the checks missed, even after a commission was voided, refunded or paid.
Open any commission from the referral
Press Confirm self referral and stop its commissions
The panel then shows Self referral confirmed. The affiliate sees This sale was made by you, so it does not earn a commission. Confirming cannot be undone. It covers this one referral; the affiliate's other referrals keep earning.
